NEWTON, IL (SE IL.) | For what it's worth, I don't know of any RTK's using "wheel-turners" because of the accuracy. A direct link into the hydraulic system eliminates any leakage/slop in the steering control motor. The opinion I expressed in my first post about preference of hydraulic is based on accuracy & ease of use. We have had problems installing the EZ's on a lot of equipment because of dash configuration. I believe all newer equipment has a plastic dash, & isn't stable enough to hold the EZ. Over time the plastic warps, & causes engagement issues.
All RTK systems have tilt comp. You can turn it on or off, your choice.
Most of the newer steer systems (non RTK) have tilt available. Some are standard, some are optional.
I recommended the Outback because of ease of use, portability, & cost for what you get. All are now 10 HZ, & come standard with tilt comp. We have experience with most brands, & for simplicity & cost, seem to always go with the Outback.
Just one mans' opinion. | |
