A year ago I would not have entertained a RTK EZ-Steer, since the introduction of the EZ-500 then my opinion has changed. It does offer good performance especially if the user wants a accurate system to switch between machines, it helps justify the extra cost if they can subscribe to a RTK network instead of having to buy a base. I'd like to point out I sell Trimble, Agleader & Norac so I may be biased...... but then I belive others in this thread may be a little biased...... I also agree pretty much with the comment below using the 500 & T2, I would point out that most other "steer assist products have the same issues" The drawbacks I see with the EZ-Steer are not being able to use it in reverse, not being able to stop and start with out it disengaging or below 1 MPH, you will get a little wiggle from the EZ-Steer that can be fine tuned to 2 inches or less from the GPS signal on most well maintained tractors, The other thing is it is best if the operator of a tractor with EZ-Steer knows how to calibrate it and fine tune it without getting someone else to do it for them were the Hydraulic autopilot just works.
