They claim 30% savings for the hay savers but from what I see it isn't that much. They do save some but not like they claim. IMO



So do you feed cows in a wagon like this?

No one around here grinds hay, other than maybe dairies in a tub grinder, but I don't think those would be cost effective for me.

This wagon may not be, I realize it's pretty extravagant, but feeding more on concrete in bale rings makes it obvious how much they really waste in those things, and I'll bet it's close to 25%. Part of that is because I've been feeding large square bales of triticale in round feeders, because that's what I've got, but part of it also is they always want to rub their heads and necks on the hay for some reason and that ends up knocking a bunch out, plus they get a mouthful and sometimes back out to eat it and half of it falls on the ground.

Not sure what to do, thanks for the thoughts.
