northern MN | You can but need approval and it has to be done when the harvest is completed in the event the coop needs more volume. I have done this myself, Im not sure it would be cost effective for a cattle man but what do I know about cattle ;). I sold some to a very wealthy man in roseau county for 25$ per ton a few years back, I lost money on the deal but i did get them out of the field. Personally I dont like beets left in the field but some say it has nutrient value, I am not certain. I have bad memories from beets being left in the field, my dad did so back in 69 or 70 and it was a disaster the following spring. |
