Subject: RE: 'Inching' with an UltraShift

Caraway, AR

Drove a neighbors ulrtashift (no clutch pedal) a few yrs ago. I was told to go ahead and throttle up when taking off, past  the point of slippage, so the clutch wouldn't wear excessively. A little hard to do (get used to) when pulling up in an elevator line.

I haven't talked to him to see if the clutch has given an trouble.........it is several years old now.

Either an ultrashift or an autoshift will hit the gears as good or better than most seasoned drivers.

Happy shopping,

John
