Ontario, Canada | I definitely think there are a lot of variables on this topic, there is no way to guarantee someone what kind of fuel savings they will see. I totally agree with Jari, if you are able to throttle back and run in a higher gear you should see fuel savings. Maybe you would be able to just shift up one gear and run faster. Gallons per hour might not change but gallons per acre will go down. Have had some very good results with combines this year after reprogramming as well. There are a lot of options out there so do your research and deal with a reputable company with a history of happy customers and experience with your machine. I have sold and installed quite a few 'chips' in the past but I prefer tailor made ecm reprogramming when possible for a few different reasons for both power and customers interested in fuel savings. | |
