So "livestock guys" should pay so that we can bid 10k an acre for land or $300+ for rent? Livestock feeds supported grains and oilseeds up until ethanol came along. Canada is major supplier of oil to USA and so far no lost lives or troops in Canada from the south. Petroleum industry ,like mfg. plants are owned by share holders and pension funds . Americans investing in America. $8+ corn is good but making money on livestock with many times the work and risk is bad? DDG'S is not "cheap" feed. Gotta like free enterprise and mandates. Which one do you think is most American? If people are greedy who don't support ethanol then what was farm payments and LDP's? Did those checks get returned. Would like too see where things in AG would have went if we never had any government programs ,crop ins. subsidies, ect. ...Be a livestock farmer with cows, hogs, birds, ect. for a few years and see if you still think your idea of F the livestock guys is fair. 5 years from now ethanol from grain corn will be as obsolete as farming with horses. Have a nice day.
