Pat you must have rose colored glasses on. Come down to montgomery county,IL and I will show you a tour and then tell me that I am sandbagging. We have half the county that tasseled and didn't put on a ear. No rain will fix that. I checked my best field last nite. Good pollination. Planted march 31st. Had good rain early then it quit raining. ear count was 16 around 14 long on one ,27 long on one and 39 on one. That is across the field. No matter how you add it up that isn't good yields. Rain may help kernal depth. They are shallow now. My corn is green all the way up the stalk, split nitrogen application. Still not helping yield.
