Cambridge, southwestern Nebraska | We have the potential to suffer enough losses out here that I don't think anyone puts dryland and irrigated land into the same enterprise umbrella. Rates are cheaper by doing so but that is the risk one takes. On a year you have a dryland loss the irrigated can make up for the average and those bushels will count against your loss. If you think you will have the scenario that is happening to to you this year play out, better to keep the practices seperate. |
