NE AR
As for as the ear itself, maturity is at bkack layer about 32% moist. We are at heavey dent (hard dough) stage here in NE ARK. just started getting rain for the first time in 2 months, we are 90% irrigated, corn should be at black layer in 1-2 weeks. Could start picking as early as mid august about 3 weeks early. Late rains are a 2 edged sword helps keep plant at stay green but weve also had some strong winds.
