Subject: Re: Liberty Link soybean ??s.

Mason City, IL
used a 4 wheeler with a small boom on some plots last year. I could only get approx. 10 gal water per acre with it and wanted to use 20 gal/ acre. I mixed it up at a 1/2 rate and sprayed at whatever pressure I could get and sprayed once in one direction and doubled back in he opposite direction to get my 20 gal/ acre rate. Used the highest labeled rate and took down 12 to 14 inch tall velvet leaf, water-hemp, and basically everything out there in the plot. Could barely get the boom high enough but it worked great. Depending on the variety, the liberty beans yielded just as well and a couple of numbers were 3 bushels better than the rr2 beans. Would not be afraid to use them at home. Matter of fact I am considering some for next year as I am getting more rr resistant weeds. The seed fields last year did very well for the company I worked for too. Bottom line is that I was impressed with the weed control, especially with the way I applied the ignite.
