N.E. Iowa | Quit in 96. Bad knees and back. Too many years with milking with bucket. All that lifting and squatting. Had one three day weekend vacation with the wife in 18 years.
It was either totally rebuild and go big or get out. I got out. Missed that check every two weeks.
I also miss milking every day when it's 100 degrees and flies are biting, when it rains and muddy, when there's a blizzard, when it's -30 and things freeze up and get frostbite, miss the cows when the get out at 2 in the morning.
Yup sure do miss them cows. Milked them for 25 years.
