Subject: Corn Brace Roots:


Massachusetts
I sent a photo of some of my corn to a friend. He remarked how good the brace roots looked, that when they creep along the ground, as in the photo below, it was a sign of a 'happy corn plant' that had been properly fertilized. This is only my second year growing corn, so I sure don't know. I thought I'd post a closeup here for any comments or reactions.
