Subject: Re: Illinois corn burning up?

South East Illinois
Went from Effingham to Taylorville to Springfield then to Decatur on Friday. Yes there is some 150 bu. corn around Taylorville. From Tower Hill to Springfield there will be some corn. If you go a mile one way or the other it could have been different. Springfield to Decature was not quit as good maybe, but not near as bad as it is south of Intersate 70. The dry line is moveing north every week. It can very alot if a person was lucky to get a shower. Cool weather will help some but I have never seen it rain an ear of corn on a blank stalk. It needs to cool off. Tempers can get as hot as the weather. At least that is what the wife claims....................... 200 X .75 = 150 just saying.................
