Faunsdale, AL | It can also be done with farm tractors, some cable and a sort of "slop scoop". this is a U shaped heavy steel box with 2 cables attached to a "bridle" so when it is pulled, it drags the silt out onto the dry land. When it's pulled back the other way by a tractor on the other end of the cable, it must flip over with the open end going that way. An old tractor rim will even work pretty well if your silt is still wet. Might beat getting a dozer stuck pushing it out. | |
