Murfreesboro, Tennessee
We have a high clay based soil. Although it pulls hard when it is dry, it really shatters the ground and does a good job. Any large chunks of dirt will easily melt away when it rains (if it rains). It works best if there is a little moisture in the ground, but if our ground is fairly wet, we park the rippers. All it does is smear a shank through the ground without shattering the hard pan. If we rip when its wet, we will never be able to work the clods out of it.
