Subject: RE: Stripe Rust in HRW

Last year in Nebraska we had that stuff called rain.....we did have a stripe rust problem....threshold on yield is 40 bu. We sprayed Statego on dryland wheat, Quilt would do the same, the cost applied via airplane was around 18.00/acre. Thought I was nuts, but we had some fields that were the same variety that we did not treat that were 20 bu/acre less. Given the year, that was still 50 bu/acre wheat, the stuff we treated was over 70, 72.3 if I remember corrrectly. I feel a 20 bu improvement at these price levels, will definitely be worth your investment! It is a hard trigger to pull, but do it and do it now, as you must protect that flag leaf.
