I think you are referring to the "firming" wheel, as I call it, the one that pushes the seed to the bottom of the trench? I am running them on an 1890 followed with spiked closing wheels, and am getting along great! Great seed to soil contact, and then just a little bit of dirt over the top to close the trench. Works well , in my notil situation.
