southern MN | Corn looks pretty good here in southern MN. The lows got drowned out early so no record yields, but what's there looks good. The sandy/gravely hills took a big step back the last 2 days, as the heat and dry spell is taking a toll, but if we catch any rain they will still spring back at this point. If the heat & dry continue, well then we'll have the middles betyween the valleys and hilltops left looking pretty good.
Beans came on a little the past week, but to me they just look poor this spring around here, small and thin. Might not matter this time of year, but would expect them to look better than they do.
Had a rain over nite, looked good on the radar, see more bird poo in the gauge than water (possibly a 10th?) this morning, and it's pretty much all evaporated by now....
