Look at the units to open rail car hoppers. A unit that sits on the floor on wheels so to be rolled into position. A base large enough to stand the torque. A gearmotor, of course reversible. And a driveshaft with universal joints to hook to the trailer. Some kind of torque limiter to not cause damage. By amps of current or mechanical. Most self contained electric trailer openers have limit switches to stop the motor before the end of the stroke. It is going to be really tough to do that by just operator sense. After about the 300th one in a day, the operator is going to screw up.

You would need some kind of force limit. If a trailer cranked harder than the limit, the trailer couldn't come back til made to turn easier. Guys will bitch, but it will get fixed.
