Peel back the husk very carefully trying not to remove the silks. Once the ear is exposed, shake the ear kinda aggressive. The ones that have been successfully pollinated the silk will fall away. If the kernel has not been pollinated the silk will remain on the ear. The ear will pollinate from the butt to the tip. You can track the progress of pollination by seeing how far the silks are being removed on the ear and the location of the remaining silks.
