I know what you mean about chisel plowing old sod. This same property (old airport/drag strip) had a small field that has been finish mowed for the last 50 years, I started to burn it down last fall & chiseled it this spring. What a mess. I sure hate moldboarding though, seems to take forever and this piece is really odd shaped.
What to do with new ground?
