East Central Ia | Need some cooler weather as we are starting to tassel but overall things look good. Will know more when I can start evaluating ears as we were under A LOT of stress the whole month of May and part of June. Have caught a few rains to keep us going and things are pretty even and bright green.
Kind of nice to not be worried about rescue N applications like the last three years... but no idea what that drought stress does to corn that early in the season.
Everything seems so spotty this year. I know not 10 miles north of me has recieved a lot more rain... we might have had .25" and they got 1.25" on several occasions.
I feel for the guys burnt up... its hard to look at. | |
