Your doctors have a duty to you as the patient to provide appropriate treatment based on the available diagnostic evidence -- this is called the "standard of care." The same standard of care applies regardless of financial means.
Your docs also have a duty to do no harm. This means not doing procedures and/or treatments that are considered below the standard of care.
"because the patient wanted me to do it" is never defensible. | |
