| We are in the process of replacing our counter tops. We wanted granite, the cheapest kind- over $5000 and our counter tops aren't that large. So, we priced laminate- only about $1000 less. It's crazy what things cost now that used to be the "cheap" fix. We are going laminate because the cabinet's quality aren't quite worthy of granite and we thought it would look bad to update one and not the other. I didn't know that refinishing the old countertops with paint was an option. I'd like to see how it turns out if you go that way. There are some creative solutions out there these days. | |
