Subject: Petunia question

Highland Center, in Southeast Iowa

Noticed that one of my petunias in a small planter on the sidewall of our house has been eaten by something.  The remaining plant looks similar to how a tomato plant looks when it's been hosting a big ol' green tomato worm.  I've never had petunias eaten before, in fact, I thought they were pretty much immune to that kind of thing.  Any idea of what's making a salad out of my wave petunias??
