Wow 5 Head. A farm visit here is $25 and I'm only 10 min from the clinic, but they won't post a cow here. Because how are you gonna get a posted cow to the dead cow factory? Dead cow trucks won't pick up a posted cow. So the vet has to go 30 miles to the dead cow factory, and by that time they have about $150 in it. Sending samples in is a ridiculous bill and it wouldn't be so bad if they would tell you something. Sometimes you get lucky and they find a nail in the reticulum, but mostly they just say the cow died, sorry. Usually there is no smoking gun.
