northwest Indiana | Sorry guys, chain length doesn't work that way. The chain will move the number of teeth the driver gear turns, no matter what length it is. Therefore, the driven sprocket will turn the same number of teeth relative to the driver. Look at it this way. If the driver and driven sprocket are the same size, they will turn the same speed, whether the chain is 50 links, 100 links, or 500 links. Chain length is not the problem, more likely a chain tension difference between the two sides, where one is jumping occasionally under load. | |
