SW Wisconsin
Looks like Illinois won the rain Lotto last night. Iowa, Minnesota and the Eastern Dakotas are having a great moisture year. We are still very dry here in west central Wisconsin and there are certainly parts of Indiana, Ohio, Missouri and elsewhere that are suffering. Those areas that got a bad start with poor germination and stunted plants have already limited their yield potentials. The big news will come on the 29th when the USDA reveals their corn acreage number. If it is a big one, the market will care a lot less about the dry areas and start focusing on where those acres came from. Then the drought folks will get low yields and low prices.
Off to church to pray for rain!
