Rolla, ND | What makes opportunity for a guy starting is risk and uncertainty and tough times. Then people get conservative and they don't fight to get land. So a guy can get a start and actually make some money off it.
With high commodity prices, low interest rates and crop insurance, there is more of a gold rush mentality today. It's a bit like houses a few years ago, a lot of people are thinking it's impossible to lose money. This means the guy starting has a very tough time because there are others with more capital who would do anything short of killing to get the land. | |
