Liberty, MO
Never cut wheat with my R52, but cut a lot of green stemmed soybeans, 2 mph was good, if stems were dry 4 mph not out of question. had a 520 header, and if it was feeding evenly not much trouble Is it feeding evenly or in bunches? Is the straw tough? You said it was waist high and you were cutting pretty low, that is a lot of material esp if the straw is still tough, Check to see if chains were installed correctly, (Notched slats) Have you played with auger finger adjustment, might help the feeding problems if that is the culprit. Have you fastened the sickle up?
