Subject: RE: cone bottem tanks?

Years ago I made a vortex alimitnator, I thought about going into production on them, but I didn't. This was for a 25 gallon tank. The piece worked good and was easy to make. I used poly strips about 1/4 in. by 3in. and about 6 inchs shorter than the diameter of the tank. Cut knocks in the pieces in the center of the pieces so they will slid together to make a cross. Also angle the bottom corners so the cross will settle lower in the tank. Use a stainless screw to hold the two pieces together, you will have to assemble the pieces in side the tank unless you have a large opening in the top of the tank.
