Employer has obligation to withhold social security and medicare tax from cash wages, maybe income tax depending upon pay period and wages. The tables are in the publication. Employer is required to deposit taxes withheld from the employee to the IRS. Employer furnishes W2 to employee, and files Form 943 with IRS at end of year.
Employee files tax return, and might get a refund of all income taxes withheld, depending upon their circumstances.
