To reduce the shattering when feeding full width, slow down the pick-up reel to match the reduced ground speed. Reel should run fast enough to appear that it is pulling the combine along when set at the proper speed. Both combine threshing capacity and cleaning efficiency will dramatically increase by feeding the machine full width.
