Subject: RE: What a miserable day.....

saw a custom harvester heading south thru Northern Nebraska,,,tandem dump truck with a header(biggest I ever saw) in the back,,,,a RRRRREEEEEAAAALLLLLYYYYY long tongue and the trailer with the combine behind the truck.

You could barely 'see' between the header end and the windshield of the combine. Maybe 6 inches to a foot,,,no more,,maybe less, it was so quick past me and I was admiring all the pretty equipment they had.

Two questions popped into my head.
1. If the truck and header goes thru a deep v ditch,or sharp hill etc. doesnt the header contact the glass in a bad way?

2. How in the world do they load that huge header and unload it over the sides of that dump truck??? (there was alot sticking out of the truck as well)

Guess they are headed south looking for wheat to harvest,,,hope they find alot of work, lots of acres and a lot of yield this year!!!! Happy wheat harvest!!! Isnt this really early this year???
