sw ontario | If its anything where you are at like it is in Ontario the drywall guys are the most frustrating too work with and lots of promises of coming back to "touch up" ,ect. but never happens ,Iknow my labor for drywall as 3x cost of material. In '77 built a plastered house,that was-is the best but not sure where you can hire anybody now to do that-qaulity of plaster is about 10x drywall.....and make sure they use good ,thick drywall,some want to scimp there too. Our house is cape cod style and if there was anything that i wasn't really pleased about was the drywall. Our fellow seemed to charge same for vaulted ceilings as regular and he wanted to do lots of stucco which i think was to cut down on sanding-finishing...good luck-nice house | |
