southern MN | In soils around here,you'd pack dirt inside the pipe something _hard_ and about impossible to dig out. Wouldd work well for exactly one hole, then you'd be done....
Around here, most folks go begging at the neighobrs, borrow a post hole digger, and bring it back with dull points - if not ripped off entirely - and a gr 8 bolt in the wobbled out hole for the proper gr 2 shear pin. Sometimes they even say thanks when they bring it back. Hopefully the owner gets it fixed by the next time someone wantrs to borrow it. I'd assume you could do the same in your neighborhood. :)
