NW Washington | I read something the other day about tankless hot water heaters and I am pretty sure they concluded that when you consider the extra cost of the heater and the cost of re-plumbing the water, gas and vent systems the pay back time from fuel savings for the tankless heater become quite long. All if you have water with lot of minerals in it then you may have to clean up the heat exchanger coils in the water heater on a regular basic using a chemical solution.
A new regular gas hot water heater costs me $700 installed last year. | |
