1) CALL YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY
2) REMOVE THE CARPET AND GET RID OF IT
3) if the insurance company argues stand your ground.
4) CALL YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY (see a pattern developing?)
5 remove the drywall, etc for a couple inches higher than water was deep.
