I've got a toro that is just about bullet proof. The only trouble I've had is my eighty year old uncle won't get off the machine to pick up anything in the way and we've busted a couple clutches to drive the deck. Operator error is the only drawback. But he works cheap and mows the yards. The dealer is excellent so that should be your primary concern. The big box stores seem to be getting in the business more but I stuck with a smaller local dealer. Supposedly there isn't a price difference.
