I'm going on recent articles in MaximumPC and PCWorld. That coupled with trying over the phone to help people when I tell then to click on the start button and they can't find it. Or open up windows explorer, that's always fun trying to move a file. The ribbon in Office was in my opinion horrible and the installed base of users seem to agree. However my son has a Masters in HCI and he likes it. Says you should just get used to it and it will be faster. I pointed out that I'm already used to what I've had for years and because I can see as well as know where something is why should I change? We kind of go back and forth on technology, he gets irritated because sometimes a new feature is added and makes no sense to him and I say it does. He claims I can always see both sides when I have no axe to grind. |
