The summer time mess doesn't bother us near as much.  The hogs seem to like it and grow very well in a "natural" pigsty.   We just run the sprinklers while the hogs are still in it prior to powerwashing.

Its the winter time build up on the floor and slats that is just awful for powerwashing.   First you peel it off the floor and then you have to work it through the slats.

 

With the tube feeders/cup waterers we can pretty much go spring/fall and fall/spring if we keep the water leaks to a minimum and don't get a lot of blowing rain inside.
