Subject: Re: Hog Slat Feeders

South Central, Iowa
I don't have any trouble with the hog slat gating. We bought a bunch of the odds and ends 5 years ago when we built our Gestation building. Other than the fact that it's horizontal and the sows climb on it, it's held up really well, a few broken welds here and there is pretty normal for wear and tear with sows.

I don't have any in any finish barns though. Our finishers are somewhere around thirty years old or so. We're about the only producer left in our area so when somebody quits we get their old gating and feed systems. Being the last buffalo on the plain has its advantages sometimes ;)
