Iowa | Appearently the people were being way overtaxed anyway, since no one missed the money and all the city departments were functioning normally. projects were done, bills were paid , nobody even noticed the money gone. If it shows anything , how well city dept budgets are padded that even they didnt miss the shortages. reminds me of when Paul Powell was secretary of state and they found $880,000 in a shoe box in his office, no one ever could find anything that resembled a misdeed so the family got to keep the money. I always figured he was good at saving his lunch money allowence his wife gave him. | |
