well would you rather have a 12 litre or a 15 litre. tough to substitue fuel, water, and oil coolers for good old cubic inches of cooling capacity! the engine is where i tend to think the most, as funk makes a good tranny for deere and cat makes a good one for challenger. If autoguide is something of a thought the track machine will flat out preform the 4 wheel drive in most circumstances. Also what will you be doing with it?? field work, planting, cultivating, three point work?? the cat will out lift the deere by somewhere around 4000 lbs as the deere is only rated at 14,000 and some change while the cat goes to 18,000 lbs. also the cat doesn't derate there engine if the 3 point is being used under a certain speed. lots to think about for a purchase of this size i guess! obviously dealer support is critical for a purchase of this size also if the cat or deere dealer sucks i wouldn't buy from them as you can't afford to spend that kinda cash for little or no support.

just my two cents!
