| You sound just like me. I'm 38 and need to lose at least 50 pounds also. I will second the myfitnesspal app and web site, it helped me realize how many empty calories I was consuming in a day. The app lets me see daily were I'm at on calories and also a breakdown of nutrtion, its amzing how the little things add up quickly. Also trying to do some amount of meal planning has helped because with the app you can back figure how many calories you consume in a day. My biggest so far is smaller portions, less carbs, and less sugar. I'm eating more protein, vegetables, and fruit. I'm not to my goal, I've lost about 20 so far since January 1st. I haven't got on the exercise part yet, but that is coming. | |
