Eastern Ontario | I hope it stays, it's not a perfect system, but the only system where we have a say in the price we get for our products. The problem with an open market is that a few big companies contol the market and set the price, you become a price taker.
Especially dairy, which is a very perishable product and you can't hold it till you get a better price like grain for example.
Our MP(member of parliament) says they will fight to keep it, but it comes out of a politican's mouth, anyone's guess.
