Central Kansas | Only experience I've had to something similar is a GP TT with the spiked rolling harrow and I find that if conditions are a little damp, and a stalk gets pieced with one of the spikes, it will collect damp dirt and just ball up.................wouldn't spiked closing wheels do the same thing if conditions were damp and if you were using row cleaners that weren't set real aggressive?
