| I agree. I ran spreadsheets tonight and between Corn, wheat, Beans, and hay, it's just about a dead heat. The hay may actually have a slight advantage other than the labor required. So far, at what I could contract for newcrop next year, and given our yield levels, it looks like beans are the winner. I was all fired up to plant more wheat till I got a little closer to the actual numbers. However, wheat could come out the big winner if 1)the double crops actually work or 2) You can double crop Sudan and the hay market is still strong. Double crops this year will push it to break even. | |
