We just did a small additions with the ICF forms. It was cheaper to use them than to pay a crew with forms to come and do it. They are energy efficient. Once they are done, the insulation, etc, is done as well. I don't know about the foam fumes, or other products. As far as protection, there are roll on rubber membranes that you can apply to protect the outside foam.
